... for comparison, I've just spent a week of nights dicking around with RT2. The main reason I was avoiding roundup was that RT did most of what I needed "out of the box" and roundup looked like a steep learning curve to get to that point. I would have been better off starting with roundup and spending that time customising instead - kudos to Richard et al.

... roundup looks like a wonderful product - I'd been looking for something like it for ages, but only found it when someone (I think Richard) mentioned it on #zope. Great work!
Terrel (@jdiworks net)
... Roundup is awesome. My very simple install is a better TODO list than any other software I have used. [next stop: Gaant charts 8-) ]
Ollie (@rutherfurd net)
... I just love roundup -- with the sqlite backend it's working beautifully (very quickly) for us!
Dominik (@telus net)
I really like the program, it has the best task-centred UI of any bug tracker I've seen out there. It lets you get it done quickly. And the support is amazing, thanks.

I just downloaded roundup and it works great!

I'm investigating Roundup and I like it.

Roundup is really cool--it's a joy to work with a well-designed, well-implemented piece of software.
Stefan Seefeld (@sympatico ca)
I have been a happy roundup user myself for the last year and a half...

I found your great issue tracker some time ago. We started to use it in an IETF (http://www.ietf.org/) working group (PANA) as a tool to help us maintain the statuses of the working group open issues. I have customized the issue tracker a bit for better adaptation to the IETF world. As a result some other working groups and document authors (Internet Drafts) have started to use Roundup too, and even at the same server that we have our own PANA issue tracker.

... thanks for the efforts that have been put into developing Roundup. I like the fact that while there is a huge potential for customisation the existing implementation is pretty much usable out of the box. I also like the comprehensive documentation. The auto save queries are nice too.

I have to say that roundup is an excellent application - we use it quite a bit in our company. Thanks for all of your work!
Tom Yates (@teaparty net)
Just wanted to drop you a note and say thanks for roundup. we needed a nice, compact trouble-ticket system to keep 3 IT chaps all in sync with each other. it works brilliantly (and the ultra-high-speed demo mode is a stroke of *genius* - i hope it catches on with lots of other projects).thanks very much indeed.
David Hancock (@arinc com)
Thanks for all you do on Roundup; it's a very important piece of software, and it (plus a little help from the list) has made me look like a hero/wizard for our customer-support team.... later ...
My group has been using Roundup for over a year now, with great results. Now we're looking at Roundup as our "hammer" (meaning other problems are looking like nails).
Henrik Levkowetz (@levkowetz com)
Thanks for a useful tool!
Roundup Rocks!
Michal Kvasnica (@control ee ethz ch)
First of all, thanks for Roundup, it really works very well! I am running it to keep track on bugs on our project which involves four developers.
Eddie Parker (@ea com)
... thanks again for some great software.

I just finished another consulting assignment where Roundup came in handy. It was a three month project, and we used Roundup in the last 6 weeks, when we started getting feedback from users. We only had 50 issues, but it was a relief to have these things stored in one convenient place. Roundup took about 20 minutes to install. 5 minutes of that was installing Python and the win32 extensions. Easy-peasy.
Keith Pitty (@ keithpitty org)
We're finding it very useful in our current project for enabling our customer to painlessly collaborate with us to keep track of issues.
Ranganathan Sudhakar (@ hotchips org)
Considering that I only installed Roundup two days ago, I have managed to get it to do almost everything I want, and each time I read the documentation, I'm learning a little more. The initial install was so simple (i.e. no builtn web-server and database), that I'm motivated to keep customizing and improving my tracker!
Wish every software package had such a smooth initial installation!
[I'm a] webmaster/sysadmin with the Stanford Hot Chips conference (www.hotchips.org) -- I am using Roundup to track the zillion tasks that we (the Organizing Committee) need to accomplish to put up a successful conference every year.

I have just discovered roundup and I must say I am hooked. I have been looking for a good issue tracking software for my compay for 6 month, without success. I had a look at few of them, failed installing rt, succeed with issue tracker but I am still disapointed.
Mathieu Fenniak (@ stompstompstomp com)
Roundup is some damn beautiful software. It's a very nice and simple package for software bug tracking (oh, pardon me... issue tracking). It can be customized very easily, and in fact from a minimal 'tracker' just about any web-based database application could be built with a minimum of fuss. The mail gateway is a beautiful design too. Oh, and I love the fact that e-mailing the system creates a user "account" for that e-mail address (unless it's associated with an existing account, of course). No fuss bug tracking.

Thank you so much for the effort you've put into Roundup. We've just adopted it and because of its clean design, we've melded it to our needs in a remarkably short time. The needs of our tech support staff have increased and, thanks to you, they'll be able to keep up with a higher work-load.
Luke Ross (@ sys3175 co uk)
Thanks for Roundup! It's by far the most flexible and sanely designed issue tracker I've come across, and the clear web and email interfaces make it a pleasure to use.
Greg W Moore (@ ctb com)
First off let me say that roundup is pretty cool. I've got in running on an XP pro box and it seems to be running pretty well.
Ben Glazer, CTO (@uappoint com)
Roundup seems to be a real work of art, and I look forward to establishing it as our primary issue tracking system.
Shane Akhgar
I installed a roundup instance for a customer with a great many added fields, and it works very well. Kudos to the creators. :)

Thanks to the devs for all the work; Roundup is a great project.
